Pen and ink collage reflecting the five exhibitions I went to the other day.
The British Museum- Egyptian wing
Dark, strange, interesting and dull- sometimes you find a really interesting exhibition and sometimes you find the exhibition space more interesting. Although the different places had their own highlights (Le Gun drawings and papier maché stone room at Somerset House, the map handout at Bedlam exhibition and the bright and happy hand rendered alphabet at States of Mind) what they all had in common was just that- the space which they were in was more interesting. But who’s to say that is something bad? I don’t think so- inspiration comes from everywhere.
